Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and writer who was awarded numerous prizes. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most well-known films. In New York, she was born into an artistic family. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. Then she moved on to modelling and acting. The award she received was her Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw became a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was selected for one of the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within just three short films she was the highest-rated female box-office star in the entire world. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 as well as her signature were inscribed at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she's appeared in include The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw is divorced three times.
