Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler June 28, 1986. She had a turbulent childhood. As a young girl her mother fled to avoid an abusive situation. Her return to Pickler's world in 1995 when she took custody of her. However it did not go well. When she turned 12, the judge returned Pickler to her grandparents - who raised her to adulthood. Since she was not with their parents Pickler was too busy being a parent to her siblings. Pickler admitted she didn't get enough time for school, and she began to be a domestic worker at an early stage. Pickler took part in cheerleading squads of both her high school as well as middle school. North Stanly High School was where Pickler graduated from in 2004.
